Payouts and Payments
How payouts are requested, what gets paid, what can delay or hold a payout, and how Live changes the payout mechanics.
How payouts work
How do payouts work?
Once you are eligible, submit a request. We check the account against the rules, then send your money.
What is the profit split?
80%. That is your share, and the firm keeps the rest.
When will I receive my payout?
Payout timing is listed on the Rules page.
Do you pay out my account profit or only what I withdraw?
No balance moves on its own. You are paid the payouts you request and that clear, and a single payout can draw up to 50% of profits, limited further by the cap attached to that payout number.
When is my payout deducted from my account balance?
The withdrawal comes out of your trading account when the payout is actually paid, at the same moment the money is sent. A request that is still pending, or approved but not yet sent, has not been deducted.
Why can I not request another payout right after being paid?
Because a second rule has to catch up with you as well. Your balance at request time has to sit at least $1 above the balance you last requested a payout at, less any amount your payout cap prevented you from taking, up to the size of that payout. On top of that, a payout closes the cycle it came out of and opens a brand-new one — a rejected request closes it just the same: if your account was bought at or after 11 September 2026 at 5:35 PM ET (21:35 UTC) its winning-day tally goes back to zero and the new cycle has to collect 8 qualifying days of its own, and if it was bought before that instant its consistency figure resets to 0% and the new cycle has to build its own spread of trading days.
How many winning days do I need before I can request a payout?
8 qualifying winning days in the payout cycle you are requesting from, if your account was bought at or after 11 September 2026 at 5:35 PM ET (21:35 UTC). A qualifying day is a trading day that closes with realized profit at or above your plan's floor: $200 on a $100K, $150 on a $50K, $100 on a $25K or $10K. They do not have to be consecutive, and no single day takes one back — a losing day, a flat day, a small green day under the floor and a day you do not trade all leave the count where it was. What sends the count back to zero is the cycle closing, which happens on a payout that is paid and equally on one that is rejected; cancelling a request of your own closes nothing. Accounts bought before that instant are not held to this count and have no per-day floor; they keep the consistency rule they were sold, and because one winning day is 100% of its own cycle, its Max Daily Gain share cannot be met until a cycle holds at least 4 winning days on the Strix Plan and 2 on the Express Plan. Everything else on the Rules page still applies to both: the payout minimum for your account size, the cap attached to that payout number, and — after your first payout — the balance rule. Your dashboard shows where your own account stands against each of them.
Caps, minimums, fees
Is there an activation fee?
Yes. One fee turns your funded account on: $69 to $149 depending on account size, charged upfront when you activate. It is a single non-refundable charge that opens the account, and from there the 80/20 split is yours. It is never waived — accounts won in giveaways or opened with promo codes pay it too. The evaluation itself is a separate one-time charge with nothing recurring.
What is the activation fee?
Funded activation: $69 to $149 depending on account size. It is charged to your card on file before the funded account is activated, and it is not deducted from your payouts and not refunded on your first payout or at any other point. The per-size figures are on the Rules page.
Are there payout caps or minimums?
Certain phases set a payout minimum and a payout cap. Current numbers are on the Rules page.
What are the payout caps in Funded?
Caps scale across your first four payouts and differ by plan and account size. The full ladder for every plan is published on the Rules page, and your dashboard shows the cap on your next payout for your own account.
What is the minimum payout in Funded?
It is set per account size and is the same on the Strix Plan and Express at a given size. The figure for every size is on the Rules page.
What is the "payout balance rule"?
Once you have taken your first payout, your balance at request time must sit at least $1 above the balance you last requested a payout at, less any amount your payout cap prevented you from taking, up to the size of that payout. Example: if you requested payout one at a balance of $52,000 and your payout cap did not limit it, your balance at your next request must be $52,001 or higher.
Review and holds
What can delay or reject a payout?
A rule question on the account, missing KYC or tax paperwork, or mismatched payout details can each slow things down or lead to a rejection.
Can my payout be held for review?
It can. Compliance checks, KYC, tax verification, and payment risk reviews are each grounds to hold a payout.
My approved payout has not arrived. What should I do?
Approved payouts typically clear within a few business days, sometimes faster. If it has been longer, contact support with your payout ID and approval date. Bank delays are common at month-end.
Can I change my payout method or receiving details between requests?
Yes. You are paid by ACH or wire transfer (international wire for traders outside the US), sent from our Mercury account. Your receiving details are set up through the secure email Mercury sends you after a payout is approved, not on your dashboard, so update them there before your next request. Changes to a payout that is already being processed are not supported.
My payout details did not match my KYC. What happens?
The payment can be held until your details are reconciled. The name on your receiving account must match the name on your verified ID. Update your details through the secure Mercury email, then contact support so the hold can be reviewed.
Can I request a payout while traveling internationally?
Yes. Eligibility is based on account state, not your location. Some banking corridors may delay clearing; check that your destination bank supports inbound transfers.
My payout was rejected because of a rule violation. Can I appeal?
You can ask for a review by replying to the rejection email. We re-check the rule against the account log; if the rule did fire, the rejection stands.
